Catching up.....

Ok well here l am, several days later.....
lets catch up a bit.

Since we blogged last,
Fri 3rd Feb.,
We took the car over to Byrne to have new keys cut for the roof racks.  Low and behold l found the keys in a deep corner of the glove box at the service centre !!!   ahhhh  how frustrating but phew.
We took ourselves to Chermside, haven't been there for yonks.  Of course a lunch of Yishiki Pad Thai was on the books  (yummmm). We knew we had 3 hours free parking so we wandered for a while.

A big day was to be had on Sat. after walking/being pushed over to ground for the,  Bronco's V Cowboys exhibition match. 2 matches earlier were Dolphins V Northern Pride.  We were at gates when they opened at 2.15pm to get bottom row  seats cos l wasn't able to stay in wheelchair  (for safety reasons).......     Sooooo a very enjoyable evening was has. By tye time we  got back home we were both knackered.

Sunday,   Dirk brought scooterr up to apt. door.  Once l was organised l took myself down to Sunday Market and Suttons Beach to watch the sky divers.  WOW,  wouldn't l love to now be able to do that...
Caught up with John & Diane at Coffere Club for brunch. before starting my little adventure  :)

Tuesday,  was up and organized really early so took myself to QML George St for blood tests.  Was in & out of there by 715am. Wandered down to Redcliffe to do msges etc. home by 850am.
Waiting at home for wine delivery, sometime between 9-4 !!!! arrived at 2pm   then l wizzed down to Bluewater for bits & pieces.

Wedmesday,  Once Dirk got home went to find 303 Oxley for eye specialist appt. then onto FISHIN for tea.
 Thursday, Dirk day off. Lazy morning then down to Banjo's for lunch & Kippa-Ring for few bits & pieces. Late night shopping to no rush.  Got emerald/diamond ring cleaned $2.  Home & relaxing evening.

Friday, well today so far up early-ish. Dirk made me eggs for brekkie.
Quiert time till getting ready for dr's appt. at 245pm,.

Record rain fall in last 24 hours.....


Well Redcliffe has had a record breaking 205mm (8 inches) of rain in past 24 hours......
No reports of major flood damage on Peninsular as yet BUT it appears more is to come in next day or so. Our poor little rain gauge has certainly worked overtime.... be safe everyone

A rainy day catch up...

What a lovely day l had yesterday. Met up with my friend Kellie sat Redcliffe, Coffee Club at 1120am. Just got seated outside and the sky opened up.  Got re seated inside, nice and comfortably where we spent the next almost 4 hours, chatting & generally catching up on her life in Middle East (Saudi Arabia) Nursing for the last 3 years. And my life here in Redcliffe.  It was still pouring when Dirk walked down from our home, brolly and waterproof sheet in hand to get me & my scooter home as dry as possible.

Well here it is 24 hrs later and its still raining.....Sitting in our apt. with door open and watching the rain soaking our front patio & garden bed.
